Sustainable Boating in the Spotlight
Nice, with Nice Boating Tomorrow, the future international capital of sustainable boating
In response to the climatic, environmental and economic challenges facing the maritime sector, the creation of Nice Boating Tomorrow in Nice by Grand Pavois Organisation (GPO) marks a decisive milestone.
This international event dedicated to sustainable boating, structured around a professional show, a strategic forum for discussion and a public-facing exhibition area, now stands as a concrete and necessary response to the major transformations underway in the boating industry.
One event, two key highlights
Nice Boating Tomorrow is distinguished by a two-part format:
- A land and in-water exhibition area (March 19–22)
Tented stands, an exhibition hall, boats on the water and sea trials, offering visitors a hands-on discovery of innovations in sustainable boating. - An International Forum (March 19–20)
Held at the OcéaNice Convention Centre, the Forum will host conferences, workshops and round-table discussions featuring international speakers from the economic, scientific and institutional spheres.
A unique platform for exchange and networking
With 8,000 m² of exhibition space on land and on water, Nice Boating Tomorrow will serve as a true hub for meetings and exchanges, bringing together:
boat builders, equipment manufacturers, startups, marinas, maritime transport and tourism companies, local authorities, service providers and key players in eco-responsible innovation.
The event is designed as a platform for dialogue, business and awareness-raising, uniting professionals from the boating industry, boaters, new and future users, as well as the general public, to better understand the importance of the oceans and encourage more responsible boating practices.
Nice, a territory naturally committed to responsible boating
As a strategic crossroads between the Mediterranean, Europe and the wider international community, Nice has all the assets required to become a global reference for sustainable boating.
The city benefits from a well-structured maritime ecosystem, a strong boating heritage, a recognized commitment to ecological transition, and a unique international appeal.
By hosting Nice Boating Tomorrow, Nice clearly affirms its ambition: to become a laboratory and a driving force for maritime transition, serving coastal regions and future generations.
A boating industry undergoing profound transformation
The boating sector is currently experiencing a major shift.
Vessel decarbonisation, technological innovation, new maritime mobility solutions, ecosystem preservation, the development of sustainable ports, and the evolution of uses and responsible maritime tourism are all reshaping the future of boating and the maritime economy.
These challenges call for places of exchange, demonstration and international cooperation, capable of bringing together all stakeholders:
boating professionals, shipyards, startups, territories, scientists, institutions, investors, as well as boaters and future users.
A structuring international show and forum
With Nice Boating Tomorrow, the city of Nice establishes an international show and forum dedicated to sustainable boating, designed to structure dialogue, accelerate innovation and foster the emergence of shared standards on a global scale.
Conceived as an annual event, Nice Boating Tomorrow aims to:
- Showcase practical solutions for sustainable boating: clean propulsion systems, innovative materials, responsible services and smart ports
- Host a high-level international forum, bringing together experts, public and private decision-makers, and economic and institutional stakeholders
- Create a true economic platform, encouraging partnerships, investment, cooperation and export opportunities
- Raise public awareness of environmental challenges and the future of boating practices
Nice, a strong signal for the Mediterranean and the world
By launching Nice Boating Tomorrow, Nice sends a clear message at the international level: that of a city choosing to be an active player, facilitator and leader of maritime transition.
Beyond a professional event, Nice Boating Tomorrow positions itself as a tool for influence, visibility and international leadership, in the service of a more sustainable and resilient Mediterranean.
